10 Things To Do During October
I know we are already a week into October; however, there is still plenty of time to embrace the autumn and Halloween spirit. September has given us a gentle start to the autumn season. As the cooler weather and darker nights arrive earlier, we start to crave all the cosy things: blankets, fluffy socks, warm drinks, and Halloween activities.

- Have a full autumn skin reset – The transition from hot and humid to cold/dry air means your skin this time of year calls for a little extra care, and it doesn’t need to be complicated.
- Treat yourself to new autumnal scented candles – what better way to celebrate the season than with new candles? You can beat a spiced pumpkin or gingerbread scented candle to get you into the fall season!
- Start decorating your house for autumn or Halloween, whichever you prefer – I must be honest, I’m not much of a Halloween and fall decor kind of person; however, my sister lives with me and loves Halloween, so the decor has already been put up, and now I have to get the pumpkin.
- Meet up with a close friend or family member – If it’s cold, make sure to layer up and get outside. If you have a pet dog, then this will be an easy plan to make, plus you get to meet up with your favourite people.
- Invest some money into your autumn wardrobe – Alway make sure that you have your favourite staple, as that is a good start to investing. Cosy knitwear, trench coats and boots are perfect for the cooler weather.
- Have an evening with a fall movie marathon – Sit on the sofa with a blanket or cosy up in bed and work through a list of movies that you have been wanting to watch!
- Pick your favourite book and read it – Have the entire morning off or a whole evening? Stick on a pair of loungewear, pick up another book and read it… not just a few pages and then move on to something else, but actually sit back, relax, and enjoy your time out of the chaos that’s called life!
- Baked a homemade apple pie/crumble – You can’t beat a hot apple pie or crumble with custard, during the fall months. I find it to be such a home comfort.
- Make a start on christmas shopping & christmas cards – With Christmas just over two months away, why not get a head start before the season becomes too busy? Just remember that future you will be so grateful for that head start!
- Get yourself a pumpkin & crave it! – Head to your nearest local supermarket and choose a good pumpkin. Make a night of it and invite friends/family over to cook delicious food.
