Now that the festive period is done and dusted with for another year, some of you might be just coming around from the self-inflicted junk food coma that you’ve managed to crawl into over the festive season. It’s at this point we hold a mirror up to our food choices and ask ourselves at what point is it not acceptable to be eating quality street at breakfast or inhaling Mini Cheddar and Twiglets like sweets. 

Some of you may be entering Veganuary. Whether you’re going cold turkey stopping eating meat altogether or just testing life without cheese, it doesn’t matter as I’ve go a few go-to vegan recipes to get you started. Ya, see those of you who are talking about taking the leap into veganism and avoiding meat and dairy for January you don’t have to miss out on yummy snacks. Cos there are plenty of ways to get creative with your food, like air-fry sweet potato fries, popcorn and vegan flapjacks. Is there even a better way to ease yourself into a meat-free life than with the nibbles?

Sweet Potato Fries

Vegan alternative don’t have to be boring. Here proof that spuds can make a tasty snack. Home-baked fries are easy to whip up when you’re craving a potato-based snack. There not only quick to make, but also nutritious. 

Simply chop a sweet potato into thin chunks, drizzle with a generous amount of olive oil and bake. season with salt and dried rosemary and eat them like tomorrow doesn’t exist.

Vegan Flapjacks

Why not choose your favourite nuts and dried fruits to make some very delicious, versatile dairy-free flapjack. It’s also a great alternative to satisfy that sweet tooth of yours.

A spin on from traditional  sweet cinema snack. This sweet and savoury and flavoursome dill-infused popcorn tastes so good, you won’t even think about caving into the office cake with this tasty snack hanging around.
