What I Got Up To Throughout October!
Right, I’m already 3 days into November, but I thought before I start getting into posting festive-related stuff, that I would go ahead and look back at what I got up to during October.
I went on a lot of dog walks, because let’s be honest, my little puppy is my favourite buddy to be with, and she’s my happy place. Plus, she loves her walk so much that every morning and evening she tells me off (barking at me, of course)!

I took a drive to Sywell Country Park, which is in the Northamptonshire area. If you’ve never been and live in the Northamptonshire area and have dogs, I would recommend going. It’s about 15 minutes away from Northampton. The place is fairly big and has a massive lake that you can walk around. It’s great to have a Cocker Spaniel or any high-energy dog, as my dog has so much energy, as she is only 1 year old, but my god, she’s tired when we get back home. The Shih Tzu really enjoys it as well, as there is a path – she loves a good path 😂 but had been carried at least 3 times!
Anyway, when I went this time around, they had cows on the bank of the lake. You really don’t realise how big they are until you’re up and close to them, but these were so chilled.

Continuing on the theme with the doggies, my sister went shopping around the middle of October and found a couple of the cutest dog Halloween costumes. Bella, the cocker spaniel, didn’t care too much, but as you can see, Bonnie the Shih Tzu wasn’t too happy. She’s so funny, as she knows what she wants and hates dressing up! That costume lasted for all of two seconds, just for the picture.
For reference: Bella the Cocker Spaniel is meant to be a witch, and Bonnie the Shih Tzu is meant to be a skeleton.

My sister loves Halloween, so I booked a ticket to take her to her first pumpkin patch – mind you, she 24 year 24-year-old 😂 big kid! But anyway is was funny. We found two massive pumpkins, and the picture really doesn’t do them justice. Oh, and of course, the overly priced hot chocolate 😉 that may I add, burnt our tongues so badly that we couldn’t taste our dinners for a week!

My sister carved the pumpkins, as she is so much better at that sort of stuff than me. They looked so cute. We also had a lovely Sunday roast at our nan’s house. On one can make a better roast than your grandparents. Like the roast potatoes are alway so crispy, and the meat too tender. I’m going to stop before I start craving a roast, as I don’t have all the stuff 😢.

And think about how much I care for you, cos unfortunately, work gets in the way. Anyways, I try and remember to do one for November as I love seeing other people’s Instagram posts or TikToks when they look back at what they got up to last month.
I would love to know what you got up to throughout October. Let me know in the comments below….
