10 Things To Do During The Month Of August Before The End Summer!
Okay, okay… I know we are now entering the second week of August; however, it’s better late than never. Right?! So, continue ahead and see what kinds of things you can get up to that will help you stay busy throughout August, as it’s the funnest time of the year. And to be honest, none of us is ready for summer to end.

Create an end-of-summer bucket list to savour the last long days of summer, whether that’s to relax and chill out, or to tick off everything that you still want to see or do:
- Love or hate to do a speed clean? – Simply set yourself an alarm for 30 or 45 minutes, giving you a quick burst of energy to throw your laundry and to see how much other cleaning you can manage to get done within the time.
- Take a spontaneous road trip – Whether it’s a weekend or a random day during the week, pick a day. I live in the Northamptonshire area of the UK, and I love driving a couple of hours north to the nearby beaches or little towns. Grab an ice beverage, lunch or go shopping and just enjoy a different scenery.
- Allow yourself to have a sleep-in – I wouldn’t suggest having a sleep-in every weekend, as it could disrupt your sleep cycle. However, there is nothing more luxurious than having a few extra hours and waking up feeling more refreshed. A little bonus point if you were to take your coffee back to bed.
- Book a session for a new workout class – Are you a person who enjoys trying new things? Why not challenge yourself to try different forms of exercise? You’ll move your body in new ways, plus you may even find a few new bestie along the way.
- Kick off the weekend with a new summer cocktail – Sit back, relax and enjoy the heatwave that we are experiencing here in the UK, with a homemade cocktail in hand. Cocktail Recipes Blog Link.

- Declutter a room – Decluttering doesn’t have to be done just at springtime, to have a clean slate. Instead, this can be achieved whenever, but deciding what to keep and what to discard is probably the hard part.
- Go for a walk with friends or family – After enjoying a lovely dinner, consider taking a beautiful walk outside. It’s great for the digestion and can turn into a good habit for the summer.
- Call your parents – This might sound a little silly, but speaking to the people who know you the best and are alway on the list of people to phone, will easily give you a mood-boost!
- Go swimming – Swimming is a great form of exercise and can cool you down during hot weather.
- Meet up with a friend – As I’m getting older, I have learnt that I love catching up with friends over lunch, plus getting the steps in for the day.
