10 Ways That Your Can Transform Your Home, With An Autumn Refresh!
As the weather is getting a little crisper, the leaves are turning orange, and we are swapping our flowy dresses for cosy jumpers – we are now seeking cosy vibes and what better way than to infuse cosy, autumn magic into your home!

Carry on reading this blog post, where I’ve included beautiful ways that can help to transform your space this autumn.
- Layer Up with more textures – Adding Layers and textures into your home during the autumnal season can really help to make your space look beautiful and cosy – big blankets, thicker duvets and fluffy pillows.
- Add in some mood lights into your home – Putting up little fairy lights around the house, whether that’s draped near the windows, around the bed frame or on top of cabinets, is an effective way to give your home a starry-night feel.
- Put a few seasonal prints – Putting up seasonal print doesn’t mean you have to have hundreds of pumpkin pictures dotting around, instead you can hang up posters that feature owls, woodland creatures and of course a few pumpkin pics!
- Bring the outdoors inside your home – If you love the idea of bringing the outdoors inside, you could arrange a few pinecones/acorns on a shelf & units or leaf garlands across your bed headboard or along the walls – this is an easy and instant autumn update!
- Switch out your bedding – Oh, how I love getting myself new seasonal bedding! It really helps you to get into cosy, darker nights. Swapping bright & flowery duvet covers for fleece or flannel covers.
- Swap out the curtains’ colours – Doing seasonal changes to your home doesn’t have to be overly expensive; changing the curtains’ colour from grey or sage green can really switch the tone or feel of a room.
- Adjust your lighting – Changing your lighting, especially your bedroom, will not only create a cosier feel to the room, but it can also help you sleep better at night – having low-key lighting can help to relax your body, as during the darker months, we tend to choose warmer and softer lighting options. Instead of using a bright ceiling light all the time, give yourself the option to use side lights or strip lights that your place, which can be placed to go around the top of the room or alone the skirting boards.
- Lean into warm colours – As autumn season kicks in, it’s the perfect time to lean into warmer tones – oranges, mustard yellows, earthy greens or even plum purples! As all these colours will bring warmth and fully embrace autumn. So, swap out everything with bright, summer tones and change it to grounded tones.
- Add cute, autumnal touches to the place – Yeah, of course, if you’re into the autumn look, then you should fully embrace it, but also make it fun for you by adding your own personal touch.
- Buy more loads of candles and dot them around the house – You can never have too many candles during the cooler months of the year. I love candles, especially seasonal-smelling candles.
