6 Movies To Watch During The Month Of August!
Okay, so we are currently in our third-ish week of August, as August is a very long month – four weeks and three days to be exact. Also, the UK is currently experiencing a heatwave. At this point, I’m not sure why it’s still being called a heatwave; it feels more like just a consistently hotter summer. This is now our fourth or fifth heatwave, weather warning. Therefore, it might be a good idea to keep a few backup movies that you haven’t watched yet. In today’s blog post, I thought I would include all the latest movies that have been released or are scheduled for release throughout the summer.
Starring Keke Palmer, Eddie Murphy and Pete Davidson and also featuring Eva Longoria, Roman and Marshawn. It’s about a routine ash pick that takes a wild turn, as two mismatched armoured truck drivers get ambushed by ruthless criminals. As the chaos unfolds around them, the unlikely duo must navigate high-risk danger, clashing personalities, and a bad day which keeps getting worse. Release date: 6th August on Prime Video.
Starring Blake Lively, Michele Morrone, Henry Golding, Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Kelly McCormack, Ian Ho, and Joshua Satine. The movie is about Stephanie Smothers, who agrees to travel to Italy to be the main of honour for the devious and cunning Emily Nelson. But she soon suspects Emily’s goodwill is part of an elaborate plan for revenge. Release date: 7th March, and is available to watch on Prime Video and Apple TV.
If you’re into watching anything shark-related movies, that’s either a horror or thriller, then ‘Into the Deep’ will be right up your street. Starring Richard Dreyfuss, Jon Seda, AnnaMarie Demara, Stuart Townsend, Lorena Sarria and Callum McGowan.
When modern-day pirates are on the hunt for sunken drugs, they kidnap a boat of tourists and force them to dive into shark-infested waters to retrieve the contraband. Released date: 24th January, and is available to watch on Paramount+.

Starring Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Ed Skrein. This Jurassic World movie is about Zora Bennett, who leads highly skilled operatives into the most dangerous place on earth, an Island research facility for the original Jurassic Park. The mission is to secure genetic materials from dinosaurs whose DNA can provide life-saving benefits to mankind. Released date: 2nd July, and can still be watched in cinemas.
For all the Dora the Explorer child fans, the new Dora movie released this summer will be right up your alley. The new Dora movie, called ‘Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado’, where Diego and Boots accompany her as they embarks on her most daring adventure yet. Trek through the jungles of the Amazon to find an ancient treasure that grants a magical wish. Released date: 2nd July, and can be watched on Paramount+.
Starring Juan Pablo Galli, Cacala Carvana, Christian Faillace and Samantha Queiroz. The movie is about a Brazilian father who finds a worthy opponent when he meets his daughter’s Argentine in-laws, with a trip to Bariloche becomes the stage for an amusing national rivalry. Released date: 18th July, and can be watched on Netflix.

Starring Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Awkwafina, and Zazie Beetz will be reprising their roles. The Bad Guys 2 is a sequel to the first movie, The Bad Guys, but this time around, the bad guys grapple with a crime-free life as the good guys when an all-female team confronts them, prompting them to get out of retirement for a final hurrah. Release date: 25th July, and can be watched in cinemas.

The new ‘The Naked Gun’ starring Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Danny Huston, CCH Pounder, and Kevin Durand. The movie is about Lieutenant Frankie Drebin Jr becomes a police officer like his legendary father and must save the police department from shutting down by solving a case. Released date: 1st August, and can be watched in the cinema.
