How To Save Money On Makeup

When it comes to shopping for makeup, I am always on the lookout for a good bargain. Who doesn’t love a good bargain, right? That’s why I tend to browse online to find some of the best deals on beauty products. It’s a great way to test a few new items without spending a fortune. I find that buying products when they are on offer is a smart way to try out new beauty trends. I also use this as an opportunity to stock up on my favourite products that I know I will need in the future. However, I try my best to be responsible with my spending and make sure I am only buying what I need and not just what looks good. I always keep an eye out for a good beauty bargain online. It’s a great way to try out new products and stock up on favourites without breaking the bank.

I thought I would write a few simple ticks, that can hopefully help you to save some money when you’re shopping for your favourite beauty products, but also to how to make your current beauty products last longer, so you don’t have to break the bank too often!

  1. Sign up for beauty loyalty points schemes: most beauty shops now offer a loyalty points card, where you earn points for every £1 you spend.
  2. Keep using your broken eyeshadows: Don’t throw them away if they are broken and messy! A simple trick is to mix some rubbing alcohol with your shadow and try pushing it back together and if you want to custom a one-of-a-kind eyeshadow, then mix in some clear nail polish. You’ll be surprised what can be done when creativity meets cosmetics.
  3. Always empty your makeup bottles: Don’t let even a single drop of makeup product go to waste. If you cannot get a little bit out with a brush, try submerging into the bottle in warm water (make sure not to get water into the bottle) to loosen up the product then pour it into something smaller. Or use scissors to cut the tops off the bottle and scoop the remaining product.
  4. Use influencer discount codes: Constantly seeing picture-perfect beauty influencers can be a little bit annoying, however, they’re a good source for finding discounts and offer codes. So always keep your eye out on either their social media platforms or YouTube channel for any discount codes they may offer their followers. You could also make money from social media yourself by setting up a beauty blog or becoming an influencer.
  5. Avoid using expensive makeup brushes: Try not to fall into the trap of buying the super expensive brushes and the matching case. Instead, go for either a standard brush set or a blending sponges. You are then able to save money and also reduce the amount of makeup accessories that you may not end up using. Another simple hack you can use is to keep and reuse an old mascara brush from an expensive mascara and use it with a cheaper mascara tube. Simply give them a quick wash before reusing it. However, when you start using, you’ll notice the difference with good-quality mascara wands so make the high-end ones last.
  6. Always use online shopping hacks: Sign yourself up for a beauty shop online mailing list, as most stores offer 10% off your first order, also you’ll get other offers and discounts for future orders. Make a beauty shop online account that gives you beauty points for every pound you spend. Wait until you have enough things you want to buy so you can take an average of the free delivery over £35.

I hope that have found this blog to be helpful, where you can go on to save some of your hard-earned cash. Thanks for reading and see you in my next post.
