
Easy But Tasty Pumpkin Pie That Will Get You In The Autumn Season
Love pumpkin pie but don’t like how long it takes with some recipes? Been on a long search for the perfect pumpkin recipe that is quick and easy? Well, here’s a pumpkin pie recipe that will get you in the autumn season.

The pie can be whipped up in under 5 minutes, it’s outrageously simple, by using heavy cream instead of sweetened condensed milk and can either use canned pumpkin or you make homemade pumpkin puree.
Ingredients
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar
- 1 can of pure pumpkin puree or 2 cups of homemade pumpkin puree
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2tsp ground ginger
- 1/4tsp ground cloves
- 1/4tsp fine sea salt
- Whipped cream, for serving
- 1 9inch single crust homemade pie crust
Instruction
- Firstly, roll out half of the pie dough so that it’s able to fit in a 9-inch pie dish. To prevent the dough from sticking, simply sprinkle flour on your work surface and rolling pin.
- Place the rolled-out dough in the pie dish without stretching it, then trim the edges within 1 inch of the dish. Pop it into the fridge while preparing the filling.
- For the filling, whisk the eggs and both sugars together until smooth, then add in the pumpkin puree, cream vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt – whisk everything together until fully blended.
- When it comes to baking the pie, you first need to preheat the oven to 218C and set aside a large baking sheet.
- Place the pie dish on your baking sheet and pour the pumpkin filling into the pie dish.
- Place the pie in the oven for 5 minutes at 218C, then reduce the heat to 190C and continue to bake the pie for 35 to 45 minutes. Place either a toothpick or knife into the pie to know if it’s fully baked – a clean knife = baked pie! Rotate the pie once or twice during the baking process.
- Once the pie is baked, cool completely on a wire rack for 2-3 hours or until room temperature. Serve or fridge overnight.
- To serve, cut into 8 wedges and serve alone or topped with whipped cream.
