So many feel-good movies are criminally underrated. Yeah sure, we all love a hard-hitting blockbuster as much as the next person, but after -what has been extremely difficult few years- there is no suprise that we are all craving some lighthearted enterainment and feel-good movies as possible – great if your looking for a pick-me-up- i’ve rounded up a few of the best flicks that will give you the much needed mood boost.
Okay, so of course you can go a quick run to get those endorphins flowing, or you could grabe your favourite person, in your favourite loungewear, with a glass of you favourite wind alone with some delicious snacks and stick on a bloody good movie.
I can guarantee that the following movies won’t be making you cry, and they most probably won’t be exercising you brains cell, but we have to honest that our minds needs a break RN?
So in todays’s post, i thought i would delve deep into the vault of Amazon Prime, Netflix, Disney+ and alot more…and found some seriously feel-good movies, from everyone favourite ogre ‘Shrek’ to Eddie Murphy in Coming 2 America. Or how about guraranteed laughs with Queen Latifah and Tiffany Haddish in Girls Trip?
I’ve even including some the classic, like the very, very frist Harry Potter movie, which has single-handedly united generations, created a colossal follwoing and discrupted the world of fantasy and storytelling. And after all these years and no matter what you are, it’s still a good movie to be watched?
So if your after an easygoing flick – something to make you laugh until your tummy muscle ache or even to inspire you or generally restore your faith in humanity here are the feel-good movies for you….
Shrek 2 (2004)
Cast:Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Mike Myers
What is it about?: Shrek 2 is a 2004 American computre-animated comedy sequel film loosely based on the 1990 picture book Shrek! When shrek and Fiona return from their honeymoo, her parents, the rulers of Far Far Away, invite them over. But as the king does not like Shrek, he enlist a fairy to keep him away fromhis daugther.
Feel-Good Rating: This cartoon classic will definitely leave the entire family feeling good so i rank it on here the highest

What is it about?: Based on the widly popular and record-breaking J.K.Rowling’s book about a yound boy on his eleventh birthday discovers that he is an orphan of to two powerful wizards and has unique magical powers.
Feel-Good Rating: This iconic feel-good movies, might be off the chart.

Girls Trip (2017)
Cast: Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith, Regina Hall, Tiffany Haddish
What is it about?:Ryan played by Regina Hall is invited to speak at the annual Essence Festival, she see it as a chance to reconnect with her friends Sasha, Lisa and Dina, and the girls set out on a trip to New Orleans.
Feel-Good Rating: Okay, so i may have mentioned about there being no-tears, well this movie will instead give you tears of laughter, so that will automatically add 10pts.

Late Night (2019)
Cast: Mindy Kaling, Emma Thompson
What is it about?: Legendary talk show host Katherine Newbury (Emma Thompson) ratings plumment. In fear of being replace by a younger male host, sher hires Molly Pastel, her first and only female writer, to make her funnier. A funny and lighthearted movie about transformation and the power of diversity.
Feel-Good Rating: This is an instant 10 from me.

What is it about?: In 1960s Baltimore, teenager Tracey Turnblad lands a position on a local Tv dance show where she preaches the importance of racial integration.
Feel-Good Rating: You’ll be singing and dancing along the whole way through.

School Of Rock (2004)
Who: Jack Black, Joan Cusack, Mike White, Sarah Silverman
What is it about?: Dewey Finn, who is an amateur rock enthusiast, slyly takes up his friend’s job by posing as a substitute teacher. With no qualifications for it, he instead starts training the students to form a band.
Feel-Good Rating: Even if the music doesn’t make you feel good throughout, be XX performance will.

Bridesmaids (2011)
Who: Kristen Wiig, Rebel Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Melissa McCarthy, Ellie Kemper, Chris O’Dowd, Wendi McLendon-Covery, Rose Byrne
What is it about?: One’s life is a mess, and her best friend has just got engaged. As she is the maid of honour, she think she knows exactly what to do to get it perfect – until one of the other bridemaids gets involved.
Feel-Good Rating: In my opinion, i’ll have to give 8/10. The plant scene {‘Help me, I’m poor’}, ‘that cooking’, and the dress shop disaster.

The Parent Trap (1998)
Who: Lindsay Lohan, Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson
What is it about?: Identical twins, who where separated at birth and discover each other years later at summer camp. After realising that they were rasied by each other’s mother and father, and then decide to swap idenities to get to know the other parent.
Feel-Good Rating: The only sad shadow that cast over this film, is the late Natasha Richardson x

Love Actually (2003)
Who: Emma Thompso, Keria Knightley and basically everyone who i British actor.
What is it about?: Are you even human, if your don’t understand the storyline by now.
Feel-Good Rating: It will give you a pure smile and tingles.

Paddington (2014)
Who: Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Ben Whishaw, Peter Capaldi.
What is it about?: This live-action animated comedy film which focuses on a young bear who goes on adventures in the city of London after being adopted by the Brown family.
Feel-Good Rating: Got to be a 10/10. Come on it’s a talking bear – what’s not to love?!
