Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
Over time, I’ve experimented with numerous setting sprays, but around two years ago, I decided to see what all the fuss was about regarding the new Urban Decay setting spray. Since then, I’ve become a loyal fan of Urban Decay. I wanted to share my thoughts on the product and whether I would recommend it based on the hype.
What is this product for?
Right, let’s start at the beginning of my first delving into the world of makeup, around 2009 or 2010 when I was 13 or 14, setting sprays seemed scarce and out of reach within my budget. I tried the Urban Decay setting spray when it first hit the beauty world, so I thought I would give the new improved long-lasting setting spray, and I can safely say I haven’t looked back. Now let’s stop the backstories. What a setting spray is? It’s a setting spray liquid formula, packaged in a spray bottle and designed to keep your makeup in place and looking fresh all day.
How to use it?
When I first decided to try this product, I was somewhat unsure about whether I was going to like it or use it properly without wasting it. How wrong was I? Because really, how can wrongly can you apply the setting spray? You can’t! All you need to do is, shake the bottle and then spray it over your face either 3 times in an X and T formation or like me spray left to right or right to left and gradually move your way down. It doesn’t matter.
Did I like it or not?
So the big question is, did the product live up to the hype and the cost? To cut a very long answer short, yes it did. I liked how easy it was to spray and how long the makeup lasted. I have oily / combination skin, so it’s great at keeping my makeup in place without appearing patchy and cakey. But if your skin is a little dry, then may cause your skin to dry out a little more, as it’s designed to cool the skin and that is why it has a matte finish.
I will say that I noticed a difference between when I didn’t use it to when I did use it. My makeup lasts so much longer when I use it vs when I don’t.
The Pros & Cons.
Pros:
- It feels lightweight on your skin.
- Your makeup will last all day.
- One bottle will last for a long time.
- It prevents makeup from caking, melting and fading.
- They have a lot of different versions within the “All Nighter” setting spray range.
Cons:
- It can dry out your skin.
- It’s quite pricey at £28 for a full-sized bottle or £15 for a travel-sized bottle.
