The christmas season is a time of many traditions, some of them we don’t really understand the origin (why can’t panto’s be pn all year round?) but one topic we are not too sure we will truely settle the question is whether to dress up or to dress up on christmas day? Loungwear has very speical place in my heart, epecially around the festive season, as realisitically a elasticated waistband + ALL the food that we’ve all been waiting for the past 12 months for, and being in the year of pyjamas and no bras we have all been feeling the temptation to go all out this christmas is really!

If you are wanting a christmas glow compared to a dressed down look, then i’ve put some outfit picks together to hopefully inspire you christmas day attire.

The Festive Option

Wanting an outfit that has some sparkle and glamour, but you aren’t completely covered head to toe in sequins. It can be worn with metallic accessories; the two colours are a fantastic combination and you can wear all of your sliver jellewery to match, if wish. This outfit is comfort festive and party worthy look.

The Tailored Option

When you want to go for a total feminine sophistication, nothing says pulled together and sophisiticated like a trouser suit. It’s one of those pieces that is so easy to wear and to dress up or down and pair an assortment of heel styles depending on the pary type.

The Dressed-Up Option

Whether you are going out with the girls (obvs not now, thanks to covid) or having a meal in with your patner, then something a little more flirty and dressy is definietly appropriate. Dressing up and letting your hair down is something that most of us need after crappy year. A jumpersuit is a type of outfit is perfect when you are wanting smart yet sexy look. The tailored effect of the lower half is flattering and the top half can be adventourous and fun as you perfer. It can also be paired up with black strappy heels, that helps to elongate the legs even more whilst adding a touch more texture and to finish, with a red lip.

The Loungewear Option

Opting for a more comfy and relaxing approach to christmas, then loungewear outfits are the perfect choice. Loungwear doesn’t have to be just pyjamas, there’s also the option of loungewear jogger sets and fuffly jumpers

The Novelty Christmas Option

Are you wanting to go in full christmas mode? that includes gingerbread dress, mrs clause dress, christmas novelty fluffy socks and the beloveded christmas jumper. Is christmas really christmas if you don’t wear at least one piece of clothing that looks ‘Ugly’, but is extremely comfy to wear.

Novetly, festive, cosy or dressed-up. What is your favourite Christmas Day Outfit?
