Summer Will Start Here: 22 Things To Do In June

Now that it’s officially summer 2024 hopefully, the UK might be lucky enough to be graced with more lovely warmer weather, and less rainy, chilly days. I’ve rounded up a list of 8 things to do in June. So kick off the summer season on the right note, by scrolling down and checking the list. From heading outdoors to enjoy the sunshine, to visiting new places – there are plenty of things to keep you busy until the summer holidays.

  • Take a day trip to Alton Towers.
  • Go strawberry picking.
  • Visit a Zoo – London Zoo is a magical experience, especially as the Zoo’s adult-only Zoo Nights are back.
  • Watch a west-end musical – Mean Girls won’t disappoint, with the dazzling costumes, razor-sharp wit and BIG characters whose egos may fill up the whole stage.
  • Go to a live music festive – Belsonic, Belfast outdoor music festive held between 7th-29th June 2024.
  • Head to the seaside and celebrate National Fish & Chip Day on 7th June 2024.
  • Visit the Isle of Wight festival which is happening between 20th-23rd June 2024.
  • Head to London for the most iconic and largest Pride event across the UK. Pride take place in Trafalgar Square.
  • Treat your old man for Father’s Day.
  • Celebrate International Sushi Day.
  • Sip on an ice-cold drink for World Gin Day.
  • Explore the wonderful cities – London, Manchester, etc.
  • Invited family or friends for a BBQ in the back garden – This is probably one of my favourite things to do when the weather is on our side.
  • Give your garden a little facelift – besides making it look lovely and tidy, why not grow some tasty vegetable & fruit plants? Some awesome rewards, for all the hard work.
  • Be a big kid and play a game or two of crazy golf that the whole family can enjoy.
  • Bust out your beloved flip-flops – it’s summer, so there is no need for them to be stuck at the back of your wardrobe or neither a mountain of trainers. Pull out your favourite pair of flip-flops or sandals and rock them! There is no time, like the present.
  • Enjoy cold brew – tea, coffee or your favourite ice drink. There’s nothing better than having a cold brew on a summer’s evening.
  • Take a spontaneous road trip – go somewhere you’ve never been before. Google a postcode, put it into your sat nav and go!
  • Throw an indoor dance party or if the weather is lovely, there is no reason why you can’t have it in the back garden.
  • Sunbathe – but remember, always wear sunscreen.
  • Make cucumber or lemon water at home – it’s a good idea to have it on hand, especially on a hot day.
  • Have a water fight.

What will be getting up to this month?
