Are You Single? Her’s 15 Dates To Take Yourself On This Cuffing Season.

With you entering the cuffing season with no plans to couple up, then it’s the perfect reason to bookmark this post so that you can keep going back when your weekend calendar is look dull and dried up or when you just fancy treating yourself to an activity or moment outside of your normal routine, no matter big or small.

Let’s be real, there is never a bad time to focus all your energy towards yourself and offer it up in slices of self-love, however as the inevitable relationship starts to make their way into your Instagram during this cosy season of elbow here and hand photo, prioritising yourself might just feel even more necessary than usual…

A little spoiler – You won’t be needing a romantic partner to enjoy these date-like activities.

  1. Pick up a supermarket pizza base and create your own, perfect dinner for half the price of a Domino’s. Currently, there is a cost of living crisis going on and feeling good doesn’t need to cost the earth.
  2. Be a tourist in your town for the day and explore the hidden gems that you would normally pass by.
  3. In the mood to spend the cash? Why not treat yourself away for the night to a nearby town you love or want to explore somewhere new before enjoying 9 hours of sleep (including a lovely lay-in) in a heavenly hotel bed and enjoying an entire basket of pastries? This is all that you call ‘Self-care’. Look it up!
  4. Have a ‘my favourite things day. Set a day where you pack in as many joyful experiences and moments as you can – only do things that you love for your pleasure!
  5. Food is often said to be the way to the heart, and loving yourself is no different! So head to the supermarket and grab all the ingredients that you’ll need to make your favourite starter, main course and dessert and have the ultimate candle-lit dinner for one.
  1. Take a trip down to Lush and grab all the indulgent bubble bars you can find before dimming the light and breathing in the sweet relief of pure relaxation.
  2. Are you feeling spontaneous? Why not treat yourself to a new tiny tattoo or a piercing? It could be the most fun self-dating idea, especially for those who are afraid of taking on commitments or pain.
  3. Get yourself out of the house and go to a cute pottery paint workshop and create a unique, one-of-a-kind ceramic item that you can treasure for many years to come.
  4. Love listening to music…Blast your all your favourite tunes (on repeat if need be) and head for a drive with nowhere to go, but feeling so much better afterwards.
  5. Sit down and make a list for yourself – thing’s that you would like to achieve in the coming years, as well as things that you have achieved in the past year. Take a moment to reflect on how far you have come and how far you could go. Remember, you’re doing great.
  1. Enjoy the magic of live music without the overpriced venue drinks – watch your favourite band or artist on YouTube.
  2. Okay, so it might take up a giant chunk of your wage, but anyway book yourself an appointment at that boujee hair salon, as it will be worth it.
  3. A self-date doesn’t have to just be an evening affair… just b starting your day off with 30 minutes of ‘me-time’ and grabbing a takeaway smoothie/coffee before you take on a serious dose of motivation – a walk/jog/run before work – to see you through the day.
  4. Why not pay a visit to a local flower market and live out your most Pinterest-worthy morning.
  5. Aren’t in the mood for a live comedy show alone? Instead head over to Netflix’s or Prime video where you can find something that can sure put a smile on your face and even make your face hurt from laughing so hard – no need to get out of your comfiest loungewear.
