Whenever we go through new life changes or circumstances, it is often hard to navigate and hard to come to terms with but ultimately it’s an important and needed part to help us grow as a person. Seeing life in season can make it much easier to acknowledge that changes come, but bring newness with them. In reality, new doesn’t always mean bad. When someone says “you’ve changed” it’s often seen as a negative thing….but yes sometimes it can be. As humans, we all change and adapt to our circumstances and honestly, I wouldn’t want to stay the same as I grow older, instead, I like learning and growing with new seasons of life.

I’ve been through quite a few major changes in my life, with the passing of a close family member, graduated uni and moved house. All of these things happen within 3 years. So, you can imagine it was a lot to deal with and this is exactly why I wanted to make this post. I wish I could have found something like this when I was going through a lot of changes. So if you’re going through a new season of life, I know how you feel and I’m right there with you.

Here is a few things I have been doing to help me grow and adjust to my new seasons of life.

KNOW THAT IT WON’T BE EASY

Every new season of life comes with new sets of challenges and some you won’t have ever faced before – new struggles, new friendships or maybe new circumstances that you have never had to deal with – It won’t be easy to navigate through some, and to be real it never is. It’s all about learning from then and will be such as great learning experience for you to go through.

In my own life, I have already have learnt so much about myself. I’ve learnt that I’m strong than what I first thought I was and that I can adjust to new situations very quickly, which I never thought I would ever do. I’ve always liked for things to stay as there were, but now my life has completely changed I won’t say that I 100% like certain parts of my new life, but I feel like I’m starting to be okay about it.

FIND JOY IN EVERY NEW SEASON OF LIFE

Joy can be found in the most unexpected place, like even in the hardest circumstances. So going into a new season of life doesn’t mean it’s going to be a season. It can be a wonderful and joyous experience. Don’t get me wrong, it might be hard to spot them, but they are there if you look hard enough. Through my new seasons of life, I have found many joys and I am so grateful for the small reminders. It’s like someone giving you the nod that your going down the right path, and that brings me much comfort.

TAKE EVERY DAY AS IT COMES

I am fully aware that it’s a little cliche to say, but taking each day as it comes has helped me to get through new phases. Usually, people tend to see the bigger picture and end up forgetting to focus on what is here and now. Learning to be present – this has been one of my new year’s resolutions – has helped me so much, as I know now what I have control over – my happiness at that moment and current circumstances.

Remember, not every day is going to be the same but focusing on the present will help you to be more grateful and find some happiness and joy in the present too.

Additionally, I recently brought home Bonnie who’s a 6-month-old Shih Tzu puppy that is super playful and completely adorable, and that didn’t make my life busy enough I also had two very boisterous 1-year-old guinea pigs called Echo and Enzo
