Okay, right. So us women all know how magical our monthly bleed can be, with our body’s power and innate ability to grow and support like clockwork, but it can also be a really, bloody painful period. Even if you don’t experience period regularly, the pain and symptoms that come with the time of the month can still take us by suprise, whilst we craddle a hot water bottle and eat our way through a mountain of carbs. This may sound like a sterotyical thing to say, but there is simply nothing hot bath and lost a chocolate can’t fix.
Once you are short on carbs and that large tub of galore has gone, it’s alway good to have a few other go-to products on hand that could help to minimise the pain, reduce anxiety around your period and generally help you feel more life ‘YOURSELF’ as possible. Around 10% of women say that their period pain becomes can be so unbareable that they are unable to carry out their usual day to day activities, on a least 1-3 days out of every month – making products like; heat patches, portable mini hot water bottles and CBD oil being our most important essentials.
By transforming your home environment into a calm sanctuary is a suprisingly easy step that you can take to takle your time of the month head on and can therefore help you dread thig period a little less.
From essentials oil diffusers to lavender sleep spray, wearable hot water bottles to heat patches (yes, yes! They are really as good as they sound), so treating yourselfwith a little extra love and care when you are in pain/discomfort, is basic but is often an undervalued self-care.
