30 Things To Do During January 2025

Hello, January 2025! Now that we are in the month of setting new life goals, changing our lifestyles for a healthier one, or wanting to complete the dry January challenge. With all of life’s craziness, the start of a new year all hit differently. So here are 30 things to help you make the most of January.

  1. Already dismantled the christmas but are still finding random christmas decor around the house.
  2. Rearranging the entire house now that christmas is boxed away.
  3. Convince yourself that soup is a worthy lunch choice.
  4. Forget about signing up for a gym membership that you would stop going after 6 weeks, instead plan your at-home workout.
  5. Dust off things that you never thought to dust before – the extractor fan, when did that move in?
  6. Declutter your group chats – Secret Santa family groups!
  7. Eat everyone who comments on your weight.
  8. Dream about your summer travel plans.
  9. Look through your diary and realise you’re all booked out and socially exhausted until further notice zzz.
  10. Want to further your education? Take on an online course.
  11. Get back into reading books before bed or when you want to relax.
  12. Begin a new hobby – painting or knitting.
  13. Start up a new little side business – an online Etsy store.
  14. Plan a couple of travel trips to tropical destinations, if you need to find warmer weather.
  15. Focus on self-improvement goals.
  16. Cosy up at home with movies.
  17. Set fitness goals – Setting yourself fitness goals doesn’t have to mean you must join the gym or sign up for a cycling membership instead, you could find a new way to move your body (i.e. go on long walks for free! Go to a pilates class with friends! Have a good stretch first thing in the morning and the last thing at night!)
  18. Try to challenge yourself to a ‘Dry January’ challenge.
  19. Take part in Veganuary – A good way to try it out if it has been something that you’ve been wanting to do for a little way, without feeling the pressure that you have to fully commit, it’s also a good excuse to find and try out new recipes.
  20. Declutter your wardrobe – Are there pieces of clothing that haven’t been worn since 2020? Don’t fit you the way they used to or how you will like them too. If they don’t feel the spark of joy when you put your clothes on then set it free.
  21. Be a proper adult for the day defrost the freezer and clean out the fridge.
  22. Create a vision board – Are you ready to commit to being happier and healthy for more than a day, then a vision board is the perfect way to make this happen! Sometimes, it helps to see what you want out of life more visually instead of writing them down and maybe losing your notebook or relying on you to remember, which we all know doesn’t happen due to our busy everyday lives.
  23. Revamp your morning routine – With the start of a new year, now is a great time to reflect on what you would like to change or add to your routine.
  24. Rediscover your love of smoothies – Smoothies aren’t just a summertime staple. They are a quick, easy, tasty and aesthetically pleasing way to get your greens, fruits and veg into your daily routine.
  25. Plan a proper girl’s night – Brainstorm a night out with the gals (i.e. Crafting night, Hosting a book club, Old-school Sleepover, Games night)
  26. Start a gratitude list – Create a short list of three to five things that you have either achieved or been fortunate enough to be able to get (i.e. a new phone or your dream house).
  27. Take a long walk – google places to walk around your area and visit a different country park each time. Makes for a more exciting adventure, and you might be surprised by all that you’ll discover.
  28. Make a list of acts of kindness you want to try each week – If one of your resolutions is to spread positive vibes? Then do it! Here are a few examples to start you off: Donate your clothes, Tell someone they look amazing, Give a free back rub or Surprise a random friend or family member.
  29. Create a reading goal – Create a list of all the books you want to read this year or month. Then set a target for the books you want to read
  30. Tick off projects that have been on your to-do list forever – whether they’re small or big, achieving something that you have been working hard toward can in return give you a sense of pride and sanctification; that you’ve committed to something and have succeeded with a personal achievement.
